Star Ratings

I went home a week or so ago and have been pretty MIA since then. I've been taking some time off of blogging and you know what... that's ok. I also took a couple nights here and there and either didn't drink or revisited my favorites/go-tos. Not going to lie, my mental health has been taking a beating and I just wasn't feeling motivated to write or blog. I was still drinking and taking pictures but couldn't ever finish the task and I never wanted this blog to be something that I felt forced to do or a chore and I gave myself a year for that reason. So if I needed a week I could take it.. and I did :)

I think I'm back and I'm hoping to create a good routine or schedule that is maintainable.

While I was home, my dad suggested I create a post explaining the star ratings because I was sort of explaining to him what I thought they should be and asking him and mom to rate the drinks and they at first were unsure how to answer. If you're drinking a drink that is good but you just wouldn't drink it often, how do you rate that? Below is my answers to what I believe the ratings should be defined as:

5/5 STARS: To me, this means delicious, loved it, wouldn't change a thing, would revisit this drink, would recommend. Short and sweet.

4/5 STARS: Ok I believe this means loved it but would tweak something about it and then that change would make it a 5/5. Obviously everyone has their own flavor profile that dictates their opinions so 4/5 is subjective, actually this whole thing is subjective lol. There's another category that I think belongs to 4/5 star rating. There's those drinks that are good and you like them but they're not going to be a drink you frequent often but you also wouldn't change them (ex: rusty nail post). So to recap, great drinks you tweak and drinks you wouldn't tweak but won't drink very often because it's just not your thing get 4/5 stars.

3/5 STARS: 3/5 is good, drink is fine, not the best, not the worst, may or may not revisit. But if I had it in my hand I would definitely drink it, no complaints.

2/5 STARS: This is mediocre. Not that good, would not seek it out. Would probably have a few polite sips if served to me and then I'd accidently spill it into the first house plant I could find. But you know not horrible because I'd still maybe have a few sips to try it and convince myself it's fine and then abandon hope a few sips later.

1/5 STARS: Did not like, will not drink again. Can swallow a sip or two but no more. Tried it but would not do it again.

0/5 STARS: Literally spit the drink out. Never again. Taste is absolutely not for me. Name might make me dry heave if I hear it. No I'm joking but will 100% avoid at all costs in the future.
