INTRODUCTION

To make 1 Cocktail

1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

1 ounce fresh orange juice

1 teaspoon superfine sugar

1 1/2 ounces light rum

1 cup shaved ice or finely cracked ice

A short straw

An 8-ounce wine glass, chilled

PROCEDURE

Combine the lime and orange juices, sugar, rum and ice in the container of an electric blender, and blend at medium speed for 20 seconds. Pour the contents of the container, unstrained, into the chilled glass and serve with a short straw.

RESULTS

Not a massive fan of this drink because I think it's a bit of an unneeded hassle to get the blender out and blend it. It's fruity and sour but definitely refreshing. I bet this would have been better pool side in Florida. But I do love the wine glass. I also didn't have a "short straw" so the drink looked a bit comical. Below are the images of the evening. The ingredients, the measured parts, the final product, the massive straw, and a banana chocolate soufflé I made for dinner/dessert? I made this drink again without blending and with some more orange juice and I thought it was quite good. Overall 3/5, not a favorite for me.

DISCUSSION

I haven't posted in a few days and I think it's kind of apparent this blog post was sort of bland. I've been busy and actually had company Thursday night. I did make drinks but it felt too soon to ask for people to be apart of my blog just yet. Then Wednesday night I did an unconventional drink which I will post under a new category: Mad's Selection or maybe Miscellaneous, not sure of the title yet. Then Friday I went out to an amusement park and drank beer out so nothing to post then. I did however tell my brother about my blog today so I might have gained a reader! We shall see, also not really sure I want anyone to read this I really it would come across cringe !!

But oh well :)

I'm super sleepy, I blame the rum... or maybe the fact I ran 4 miles today (a personal best)!!

Cheers and I'll talk to you at the next one.
