INTRODUCTION

To make 1 cocktail

1 slice lime

Course (kosher) salt

1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

1 1/2 ounces tequila

1/2 ounce Triple Sec

3 to 4 ice cubes

A 4-ounce cocktail glass, chilled

PROCEDURE

Rub the inside rim of the chilled cocktail glass with the slice of lime. Pour salt into a saucer or cup and dip in the glass so that a thin layer of slat adheres to the moistened rim of the glass.

Combine the lime juice, tequila, Triple Sec and ice cubes in a mixing glass and place a shaker on top. Grasping them firmly together with both hands, shake vigorously 6 or 7 times. Remove the shaker, place a strainer on top of the mixing glass, and pour into the slat-rimmed cocktail glass.

RESULTS

LOVE. Super good, this drink def gets 5/5 stars, butttt I have to say Marg 1 is the best at least in my humble opinion. I'd say this one is more mellow, I think the triple sec and lime help to tone down the drink instead of the pow that the straight tequila and lemon adds in the first one. I'd make both again (and I have lol). I would recommend this and can't wait to make this for my dad. I'm learning that I'm more of a tequila person than I'd thought.

Here's the line up of ingredients and their order of addition. I used my pink salt again and I can't say I'd use any other alternate given the choice, I love the touch of color and hey salt is salt. Don't you guys think this little cocktail glass is so fun with its zig zags?? Found it at good will! Oh and I also included a fun pic of my homemade noods :)

DISCUSSION

First time making Marg II and homemade noods. I'd say successful night, my tummy was certainly happy. I love trying new things and I love a challenge. The noodles were good fresh, I froze the rest and tried adding them to chicken noodle soup when I cook that but it's just not the same defrosted, they get kind of soggy and floury tasting. The best thing about challenging recipes (or experiences) is that you make the first attempt and there's almost always room for improvement. This is what makes it fun to keep trying. That's all for tonight folks, cheers!
