Peach Daiquiri

INTRODUCTION

To make 1 cocktail


1/2 fresh peach, peeled, or substitute 1/2 canned peach or 3 ounces frozen peaches

1/2 ounce fresh lime juice

1 1/2 teaspoons superfine sugar

1 1/2 ounces light rum

4 to 6 ounces shaved or finely cracked iced









PROCEDURE

Combine the peach, lime juice, sugar, rum and ice in the container of an electric blender, and blend at medium speed for 20 seconds. Pour the contents of the container, unstrained, into a large wine glass.

Note: If you have substituted a canned or frozen peach that has been packed in syrup, do not add any sugar.


RESULTS





Now you know this has to be really good to require the blender and still get 5/5 stars. And it was!! I love peach and can totally picture myself drinking this poolside in FL. I def plan on making this for my parents next summer. While its November here, I still loved drinking this in my cozy apartment. I would love to try this with real peaches since the canned peaches have some added sugar I believe. I definitely didn't add the sugar the recipe calls for.

Ok, here's the pictures from creating this masterpiece. Honestly it's fairly simple and that's always a plus in my books. I figured out how to make "crushed ice" I just put ice cubes in my lemon squeezer and crushed them and it actually worked out pretty well. I also went ahead and doubled the recipe because it I knew it would blend easier in the blender (and because I wanted two).
